Diego and Lele are the main characters of this irreverent comedy. Two township boys grew up together, albeit of different ages in a reality that has put them right away in the face of painful choices, even if it would be fair to say that the circumstances were to decide which address to give to their lives.
Two young people who reunite after ten years: grew, different, but the same old friends; they will meet again Waiting for Brutus… Or rather, unconsciously waiting to find out what it will be of their lives. They will try to oppose to their respective dooms tracing different routes, but that will lead to a symmetrical double final.
The inability to decide their own fates, to the detriment of themselves and those around them: this is the common thread that binds the characters in this story. The two, comparing, mirroring each other, understand that evil is not always dwells outside of us, even if it is difficult to admit. Who is really Brutus will be clear from the flow of blood on their hands. “Tu quoque, Brute, fili mi!”.

Aspettando Bruto…

Diego e Lele sono i protagonisti di questa incalzante e irriverente commedia. Due ragazzi di borgata cresciuti insieme, seppur di età diverse, in una realtà che li ha posti fin da subito di fronte a dolorose scelte, anche se sarebbe più giusto affermare che sono state le circostanze a decidere quale indirizzo dare alle loro vite.
Due giovani che si rincontrano dopo dieci anni: cresciuti, diversi, ma a tratti gli stessi amici di sempre; si rincontreranno Aspettando Bruto… O meglio, attendendo inconsapevolmente di scoprire cosa ne sarà delle loro vite. Cercheranno di contrapporsi ai loro rispettivi destini tracciando rotte diverse, ma che li condurranno ad un simmetrico doppio finale.
L’impossibilità di decidere del proprio destino a discapito di loro stessi e di chi li circonda: è questo il fil rouge che lega i personaggi di questa vicenda. I due, confrontandosi, specchiandosi l’uno nell’altro, capiranno che il male non alberga sempre al di fuori di noi, anche se ci è difficile ammetterlo. Chi è davvero Bruto sarà chiaro dallo scorrere del sangue nelle proprie mani. “Tu quoque, Brute, fili mi!”.
