From 8 February to 10 March 2013, the Casa del Cinema in Rome hosts the exhibition “Sound of Music“: 200 record covers of the most beautiful soundtracks of Italian and international cinema. The exhibition is curated by Enrico Mastracchi Manes and Daniela Zanchini di Castiglionchio.
Once Upon a Time in America, My Fair Lady, The Easy Life, Love story, a man and a woman, the sweet life, All that jazz … are a lot of films and soundtracks that have made us spend unforgettable moments in our lives .
The exhibition “Sound of Music” tells the world of film music through the soundtracks that helped make famous many Italian films or not.
It ‘an opportunity for a trip, from the ’30s to the ’80s, through the first 200 original prints of the album covers of soundtracks that are part of the collection of Enrico Mastracchi Manes, first assistant director and line producer for Italian and international movies and, for many years, a great music lover and collector of vinyl.

Dall’8 Febbraio al 10 Marzo 2013 la Casa del Cinema di Roma ospita la mostra “Sound of Movies“: 200 copertine di dischi delle più belle colonne sonore del cinema italiano e internazionale. La mostra è a cura di Enrico Mastracchi Manes e Daniela Zanchini di Castiglionchio.
C’era una volta in America, My fair lady, Il sorpasso, Love story, Un uomo e una donna, La dolce vita, All that jazz … sono tanti i film e le colonne sonore che ci hanno fatto trascorrere momenti indimenticabili nella nostra vita.
La mostra “Sound of Movies” racconta il mondo della musica da film che attraverso le sue colonne sonore ha contribuito a rendere celebri
tanti film italiani e non.
E’ l’occasione per un viaggio, dagli anni ’30 agli anni ’80, attraverso 200 prime stampe originali delle copertine dei dischi delle colonne sonore che fanno parte della collezione di Enrico Mastracchi Manes, primo aiuto alla regia e line producer per film italiani e internazionali e, da tanti anni, grande appassionato di musica e collezionista di vinili.
