“A new learning/musical event to get to know all the secrets of a jazz orchestra”

The Master Mario Corvini and his  New Talents Jazz Orchestra will invite the public to come “inside” a real orchestra, and through listening to every single song, propose the analysis of several aspects: the horn sections and sections rhythm, orchestration, arrangements, drafting, individual instruments, musical analysis. The goal is to make the public understand the richness of the songs and to raise to listen carefully and consciously, through a lecture-concert at the same time engaging, accessible, clear, and fun.

One type of educational experience that is inspired in spirit to the one carried out during the ’60s as one of the most brilliant musicians of the second half of the twentieth century, Leonard Bernstein, who accompanied by the New York City Symphony Orchestra held at a number of American television  “lessons “on the music.

The New Talents Jazz Orchestra is an ‘orchestra made ​​up exclusively of boys aged 19 to 26 years of age and is a reality in the Italian novel, usually populated by jazz orchestras of mixed age.

The project stems from an ‘idea of ​​Mario Corvini, already accustomed to initiatives dedicated to the creation of organic born for educational purposes and then established themselves firmly in the jazz scene and institutional. Wealth is the heterogeneous origin of the band of boys from different regions of Italy but also the enthusiasm and freshness that only the younger set can give this kind of initiatives.

“Un nuovo evento didattico/musicale per conoscere tutti i segreti di una orchestra jazz”

Il maestro Mario Corvini e la sua New Talents Jazz Orchestra inviteranno il pubblico ad entrare “dentro” un vero e proprio organico orchestrale e, attraverso l’ascolto di ogni singolo brano, proporranno l’analisi di numerosi aspetti: le sezioni fiati e le sezioni ritmiche, l’orchestrazione, gli arrangiamenti, la stesura, i singoli strumenti, l’analisi musicale. L’obiettivo è quello di far comprendere al pubblico la ricchezza dei brani, sensibilizzandolo ad un ascolto attento e consapevole, attraverso una lezione-concerto allo stesso tempo coinvolgente, accessibile, chiara e divertente.

Un tipo di esperienza didattica che si ispira idealmente a quella portata avanti durante gli anni ’60 da uno dei più brillanti musicisti della seconda metà del Novecento, Leonard Bernstein, che accompagnato dalla New York City Symphony Orchestra tenne alla televisione americana una serie di seguitissime “lezioni” sulla musica.

La New Talents Jazz Orchestra  è un ‘orchestra formata esclusivamente da ragazzi dai 19 ai 26 anni di età e rappresenta una realtà inedita nel panorama italiano, usualmente popolato di orchestre jazz di età mista.

Il progetto nasce da un’ idea di Mario Corvini, già avvezzo ad iniziative dedicate alla creazione di organici nati a scopo didattico e poi affermatisi stabilmente nel panorama jazzistico e istituzionale. Ricchezza della band è l’eterogenea provenienza dei ragazzi da diverse regioni d’Italia ma soprattutto l’entusiasmo e la freschezza che solo le leve più giovani possono conferire a questo tipo di iniziative.
