Tuesday, December 6th, 2011 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica (Petrassi Hall) at 21:00 Music for Rome Foundation presents “George Harrison, the third Beatle“. An event of “Lessons of Rock. Journey to the Center of Music” by Ernesto Assante and Gino Castaldo.
George Harrison, the “third” Beatle, was an important figure of contemporary popular culture, not only because he was part of the “Fab Four”, not only because he wrote some of the best songs of their repertoire, but also because it has influenced generations with his relationship with music and Indian culture and has opened the extraordinary season of concerts “benefit” with one dedicated to flood victims in Bangladesh in 1971. Harrison, his life, his art, will be celebrated ten years after his death.

Martedì 6 Dicembre 2011 presso l’Auditorium Parco della Musica (Sala Petrassi) alle ore 21:00 la Fondazione Musica per Roma presenta “George Harrison, il terzo Beatle“. Un evento di “Lezioni di Rock. Viaggio al centro della musica” a cura di Ernesto Assante e Gino Castaldo.
George Harrison, il “terzo” Beatle, è stato un importante personaggio della cultura popolare contemporanea, non solo perché ha fatto parte dei “Fab Four”, non solo perché ha scritto alcuni dei brani più belli del loro repertorio, ma anche perché ha influenzato intere generazioni con il suo rapporto con la musica e la cultura indiana e ha aperto la straordinaria stagione dei concerti “benefit” con quello dedicato alle vittime dell’alluvione in Bangladesh nel 1971. Harrison, la sua vita, la sua arte, verranno celebrati a dieci anni dalla sua scomparsa.
